Fair grew up on a chicken farm and witnessed cockfighting as a boy. He began breeding game fowl prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army and departing for Vietnam, but his reputation didn't begin to develop until after his return. Fair is a respected breeder, primarily due to the extensive variety of fowl that he breeds. While he is best known for his Sweater fowl, which have yellow legs, sleek bodies and pumpkin-orange hackle feathers, Fair also breeds White Hackle, Chocolate Grey, Kelso, Pussom and Roundhead fowl, among others.
Fair is renowned for his cross-breeding expertise. One of his cross-breeding efforts paired one of his best cocks with a Radio-bred hen for one year. The pairing produced 40 chickens, which he entered into the Long Knife Derby at the Sunset Gentlemen's Club in Lafeyette, Louisiana. The chickens produced 36 wins, two losses and two ties. As of 2016, cockfighting is illegal in all 50 states. The last state to outlaw the practice was Louisiana, which did so in 2007.
Consequently, cockers like Fair must be careful how they advertise their farms. According to Fair, he only breeds the chickens and he claims he isn't responsible for what his customers do with the chickens after purchasing them.

Very good Kelsos. Here are some pictures so you can judge for your self. These chickens have lots and lots of balls. They do lack a little on the cutting side. However, when crossed to a good Sweater or Hatch your apponent better watch out. Nice picture. I agree with u grey lack of cutting ability only the WL Kelso.
I still remember henry navarro told me the same thing his white leg kelso got from dink fair lack of cutting ability too then he teach me how to correct but a little bit long process.and my johnny jumper out & out kelso has a lots of power, speed and multiple shuffles but no direction like a 'bara barabay' it is very good in sparring but not in reality. Is not a long knife design still need to correct.right now under process.

I crossed them to some Democrat blood(Payton's) and so far showed 18 of them 16W and 2L Mr. Payton is doing that cross right now cause we are doing so good with them.
So if you need cutting for the JJ kelsos(white legs) try some Democrat blood. Another thing is that they come out better looking with more plumage (Democrat side) and smarter not hot-headed like the pure JJ kelsos.
In all they still got the speed and gameness of the Kelsos and the cutting, smartness and plumage of the Democrats. Very good Kelsos. Here are some pictures so you can judge for your self. These chickens have lots and lots of balls.

Can't afford all pure ones, So i got dink Sweater/ Kelso hens. So happened he loaned me an Albany/ Sweater Cock hehehe. I think that cock should fix my problem on the cutting department.
Good Afternoon Cockmates, I'm sure there has been a few threads about this topic but I've been browsing and searching the archives to no avail. I just want to ask cockers/breeders who have been to Dink Fair's Farm about: 1. The exact location in Oklahoma 2. What are his prices for Trio, for stags 3. How is Mr Fair as a person?

What is his best line of fowls? I guess it's Sweater but are there different kinds? I will be around Oklahoma next week and hope to visit his farm. I already have his number. Thank you for any additional info you can share. Good Afternoon Cockmates, I'm sure there has been a few threads about this topic but I've been browsing and searching the archives to no avail.
